Pumpkin Carving: Boo and the Angry Bird

Me and my roommate decided to pumpkin carve this Halloween. This was my first time carving a pumpkin so I was really excited. Can you see my excitement???

I decided to do Boo from Super Mario Bros. Maggie (my roommate) decided to an Angry Bird since she's so fond of that game. I like how we both ended up choosing characters from games.

I feel so proud. They both turned out awesome! This was from the first night we carved them.

Here's my pumpkin 2 days after.

You can see it's slightly rotting and sagging already. I wished it would last till Halloween but that doesn't seem the case. Halloween is just up around the corner though. I'm sure it'll be fun!

Peek-a-boo

Here's a better view of the parts my hair that are bleached. The color is a bit on the yellow orange side. I don't really care. I think it gives a spunk to my hair and it only peeks out when I fix my hair a certain way. ^^

A Little Bleach

My friend Anna was dyeing her hair and had some leftover bleach (L'Oreal Quick Blue Bleach) that she was going to throw away. I thought that I might as well use it since I might dye my hair again soon. If it comes out ugly, I could always dye anyways.  Thanks to Anna for her leftovers and putting the bleach on for me! Well, my idea was to do something under that will just show off a little color, especially when my hair is up. Think Rogue of X-Men but with the color under.

I thought it would come out blonde but I guess since my hair is dark brown with an auburn tint, the bleach only lightened it. My roots turned blonde though. Maybe I'll show it next time.

Mismatched Match (of Socks)

This is what I wore to Soleil's birthday party. I was originally planning to wear a pink wig and a dress but due to some circumstances, I decided to save the wig for some other time and opted out of the dress because I wanted to jump around like a kid in the castle.

Princess' Castle

It was my friend Anna's daughter Soleil's birthday party last Saturday. I came a little early to help with whatever I could, and I got dibs on the jumper too!

The party was themed for her favorite Disney princess, Snow White.

Her birthday cake looked awesome with the Seven Dwarfs encircling Snow White.

And here's our favorite brat  princess looking cute as ever!

Happy Birthday Soleil!

Alala

These are a few photos I took from CSS' show at the Filter Culture Collide block party last Sunday. I'm so glad I moved my ass and drove to Echo Park. CSS performs awesome live and watching Lovefoxxx was just too much fun. Her batwoman costume was really cute-- too bad she didn't keep it on for long.

Creepers for Keeps

It finally arrived!

After much thought, I decided on these new kicks. I've seen much more (colorful) designs in Asian stores online but the sad part was that it's not easily available here in the US. Shipping costs and time would have been too troublesome. This T.U.K. creeper design I believe is from an older season and is probably discontinued since I was able to browse through the T.U.K. catalog in a shop in Bellflower and neither Fall 2011 or Spring 2012 had this. I was quite disappointed because I really liked the lace trimming on it. I found it online at Endless and was happy to find out that they had some sizes still. I'm such an Amazon fangirl. Endless is affiliated with Amazon. They offer free two-day shipping both ways and they don't charge tax to California. Aside from free shipping and no tax, they treat their customers well, just as I'd expect from Amazon. Let's just say I was misinformed about the sizing that I had to return my first pair and order again (they don't do exchanges, only refunds which come 2-3 weeks later) that the next customer representative gave me a promotional certificate/discount. All that trouble saved me some money at least, and I'm very satisfied with the service I got as well as the shoe itself!

The shoes are pretty hard and heavy. The hardness of the leather will eventually be better after wearing it quite a bit., I don't think the weight will change though. I was even raising my legs up and down trying to exercise my legs and turn them into some sort of  leg weights! (^_^)'

Lazy Saturday

Fall is here and it's been getting colder. I just cuddled up in bed most of the day and it felt nice! I know some people think they wasted their day doing that, but I'm completely fine with that. I just went out to grab a quick dinner with friends and dressed up with my typical lazy wear-- a loose top and leggings (in this case, jeggings).

Strawberries & Cream

This has been my favorite bag for the past month. I try not to use it much because I don't want it to wear out so quick! As you can see, it's a light pastel blue satchel with strawberry prints.

I love fruits, especially strawberries. They make a fun design too. You should see my PSN avatar-- it's the one with the smiling strawberry face ^_^

Hello Kitty

Trivia: Did you know Hello Kitty's name is actually Kitty White?
Not only that, she's English! She was born in London.
